Welcome To Event Services

The Event Services Office (ESO) within Student Engagement and Campus Life supports the Virginia Tech mission by helping Hokies reserve campus spaces and providing support to plan successful events in those spaces. ESO manages reservations for: Squires Student Center, Johnston Student Center, Burruss Hall Auditorium, the Graduate Life Center, and various outdoor locations. In addition, ESO manages requests for advertising locations, such as banners, A-Frame display spots, and display cases inside Squires Student Center.

Advance Reservations 2026-2027

Event Services is excited to announce the opening of Advance Reservations for the 2026-27 academic year! Submit your Advance Reservation Requests using the link below beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 9 until 11:59 p.m on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Please take the time to review all the information listed below as it will be relevant for your submission.

Important Updates for 2026-2027:

• Squires Student Center and the Graduate Life Center will be closed August 1-15, 2026
• War Memorial Chapel and Pylons will be closed beginning June 29, 2026, due to critical facilities work. Reopening date to be announced.
  The Chapel should be available for events sometime during Spring Semester 2027; however, we do not have a completion date at this time. We will update all Authorized Contacts in January 2027 on the anticipated completion date and availability for spring 2027 reservations.
• Note: Event Services rental rates for venues and equipment are subject to increase for the 2026-2027 Academic Year and beyond.

Submission Guidelines

• Requested dates must occur between August 1, 2026-July 31, 2027
• Requests can be submitted by Authorized Contacts for Student Organizations or University Departments

As a reminder, all Advance Reservation submissions are considered requests only. We will do our best to accommodate your request, however, given the high demand and limited space available, this may not always be possible.
