So how can the Squires Student Center make your college experience better? Squires Student Center not only provides many facility options, but we also provide services such as customer service, food vendors, recreation centers, locker rentals, banking options, and access to the Internet.
The Welcome Center in Squires Student Center is staffed with knowledgeable students and full-time employees who are ready to answer questions about Student Engagement and Campus Life, the university, and the surrounding community. The Welcome Center is where you can learn more about events, get maps, or look for lost and found articles.
Our welcome center houses an extensive selection of information, some of which is available in brochure form located to the left of the desk in our pamphlet holders. The rest is found through our attentive information staff.
We also are responsible for all meeting room keys. If you have booked an event through our Event Planning office you will need to come by our front desk to sign in and pick up a key.
ATM's located in Squires Student Center: Sun Trust, Bank of America, Wells Fargo. Immediately outside of Squires is Freedom First ATM.
Squires Student Center has a food court where patrons may relax and have a bite to eat. Squires’ Food Court has seating for 300 people. Squires Student Center features Burger 37, Au Bon Pain cafè, and Au Bon Pain kiosk.
Bowling and billiard lockers may be rented for the semester in the BreakZONE recreation area in Squires. Go to the BreakZONE control desk to rent one.
The Meditation Space is a quiet place to meditate, pray, or just enjoy a few peaceful moments to melt away stress. The room is located on the second floor of Squires behind the Recital Salon. The room is accessible to everyone and free to use. We encourage visitors to refrain from extended use, bringing in food and drinks, talking, sleeping, and using electronics. Should you need to wash before prayer; the basin is located in room 237.
All Gender Restrooms
A multi-stall, all-gender restroom is located on the 3rd floor of Squires Student Center (near Brush Mountain A). All gender identities are welcome in this restroom meaning that multiple people can be in the restroom, regardless of gender identity.
Student Engagement and Campus Life is excited to now offer notary services to our campus community! Our staff member Erica Milgrim is a certified notary and can help students and student organizations with any notary needs. For those who may need this service, please encourage them to email Erica at SECLnotary@vt.edu to make an appointment.
Student Legal Services at Virginia Tech
The best way to contact the SLS office is to call 540-231-4720 and make an appointment to speak with the attorney. In the event that SLS staff does not answer the phone, please leave a voicemail with your name and number so the SLS staff can call you back. The office is located in Room 143 on the first floor of Squires Student Center. Check out their webpage for more information.
