Johnston Student Center was designed and built in 1990 as a student center to create, in addition to Squires Student Center, a place for students to build community and function as a home-away-from-home. Johnston is physically connected to Burruss (via bridge) and Pamplin (via tunnel) Halls on the north end of campus. Johnston Student Center provides 24,500 square feet of services and amenities for the campus community, including great dining options, an ATM, cash-to-card machine and free semester-long locker rentals. We also offer numerous study spaces and rooms that can be reserved for student organization or departmental meetings.
Subway and Seattle's Best Coffee offer fresh food alternatives for students, faculty, and staff. The businesses moved into the renovated second floor of Johnston during the Fall of 2009 and have been great partners ever since.
